Collection: not used - BEER FILTER COLLARS TO SUIT NEXUS FILTERS

All Beer Filter Collars allow some water to by-pass the beer filter with the exception of when the cap is fitted to the gravity fed collar for the eazypod. When fitted, the cap blocks the18 holes in the top face of the collar and therefore forces ALL the water to flow through the beer filter. If the beer filter isn't cleaned regularly (daily) the beer filter could block. Please Note: A blockage WILL result in the pump running dry on a gravity fed Eazypod.

If you require a larger bypass area on a gravity fed Eazypod, please see the collar for the pump fed Eazypod which works on both the gravity and pump fed set ups. Bypass area on pump fed collar is 25cm² which is significantly larger than the gravity fed collar (7.5cm²).

Bypass area on collars to suit Nexus filters is 26cm²

The collar to suit 200 series Nexus filters only works with a 7x18cm beer filter. The 7x29cm beer filter is too tall for the Nexus 200 series filters.

Collars fit 7cm diameter - 300 Micron Stainless Steel Beer Filters. The internal diameter of the collar is 70.5mm. Your beer filter needs to have an outside diameter of 70mm (7cm). You can check this as the circumference of your beer filter should be 220mm.

All collars are tested on a beer filter before shipping. However, the internal diameter on the collar can be VERY lightly sanded (or use a circular file) to slightly increase the hole diameter if required.

Collars supplied in a random colour (dependant on availability of 3D printer filament) and 3D printed using PLA filament which is a very similar material to solvent weld pipe. Colour of string may vary.

The collars to suit Eazypods will sit snug on top of the vertical 90mm diameter outlet pipe in the middle of an Eazypod. Collar for Pump fed Eazypod will affectively raise the level of the top of the pipe by 2mm.

Collar for Pump fed Eazypod will fit Eazypod Automatic filter.

Collars to suit Nexus filters sit in the central pipe of the filter.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

Please Note:

All collars will force some the pondwater to pass through the beer filter. There is a possibility that if the collar and the beer filter aren’t cleaned regularly
(daily) both the filter and collar could block. This
WILL result in the
pump running dry on gravity fed filters, or the pond being be pumped dry on
pump fed filters.

If the cap is fitted to the gravity fed collar to suit the Eazypod, this collar with cap will force ALL the pondwater to pass through the beer filter. If the beer filter isn’t cleaned regularly (daily) the beer filter could block. This WILL result in the pump running dry on a gravity fed Eazypod.

If you are not able to regularly check / clean your collar and beer filter then you should
not use this collar with your beer filter / Pond filter.

Using a beer filter in an EA filter will reduce the flow rate of the pond water. This will vary dependent on your individual pond filtration set up (the size of the pond, the type and number of the various filters installed and the size / capacity of the pump installed). Before purchasing, please consider whether a reduction in flow will adversely affect the filtration set up.
